EXERCISE 1 / AUDIO DUBBING

Lalin:

The first time I dubbed a video, the dubbing was not good. The teacher asked us to convert our voices to the same gender as the character in the video, and I used a pitch converter to make my voice lower and more like a male voice.

Feedback

During this phase of learning, we filmed movie clips assigned by the teacher in small groups. Afterward, we used these videos to create a trailer. We then learned how to perform color correction and color grading on videos, and applied these techniques to the Lalin footage and the trailer. Collaborating with classmates to shoot videos was a highly enjoyable process, and editing the footage afterward was also very rewarding. We then recorded ten seconds of our own voices, with me choosing to record in Mandarin and undergo voice shaping.
