Experience
During this learning process, I mastered core After Effects skills, including dynamic typography, layer compositing, keyframe animation, and special effects application. I combined these skills with motion graphics principles to complete several practical projects. These projects gave me the opportunity to practice clip scattering, lighting effects, and rhythm-based keyframe animation, successfully translating abstract emotions into visual language through smooth and coherent animation.
Observations
The rhythmic coordination between animation and audio significantly enhances the immersive experience of the work. Music enhances the audiovisual connection of the video. Simplified visual elements and a consistent color palette convey core messages more effectively than overly complex effects stacks. Easing adjustments and micro-details, such as subtle changes in position and gradual changes in transparency, are crucial to avoiding stiff animation. Pre-compositing footage and organizing layer structures significantly improves production efficiency and reduces modification costs.
Research Findings
Combining After Effects technical operations with design principles is fundamental to creating high-quality motion graphics. Controlled animation intensity and a consistent visual style help establish emotional resonance with the audience while ensuring clear message delivery.
